Mr. Kennedy has resided in the Daytona Beach area for 36 years and has practiced law in the Central Florida area for 29 years.  He has extensive experience in the areas of community associations and real estate development, including condominiums, homeowners associations, timeshare developments, and mobile home parks, as well as all aspects of commercial and residential closings, finance, and development documentation.

He served for ten years as a member and chairman of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law and has served as both mediator and arbitrator for community association litigation.

Mr. Kennedy was appointed by the Governor of Florida to serve on the Condominium Study Commission, which resulted in a substantial revision of the Florida Condominium Act.  He has also served as a member and past chairman of the Florida Legislative Alliance of the Community Association Institute.  He was the recipient of the inaugural Community Association Institute's National Legislative Advocate Award.  He is also a member and former chairman of the Realtor/Attorney Committee of the Daytona Beach Board of Realtors.
